The Suffering Servant

Who is the Suffering Servant

(Isaiah 41:8-9)

But hear, now, O Jacob My servant, Israel whom I have chosen! . . . Remember these things, O Jacob For you, O Israel, are My servant: I fashioned you, you are My servant— O Israel, never forget Me.

(Isaiah 44:1 and 21)

For the sake of My servant Jacob, Israel My chosen one, I call you by name, I hail you by title, though you have not known Me.

(Isaiah 45:4)

Go forth from Babylon, Flee from Chaldea! Declare this with loud shouting, Announce this, Bring out the word to the ends of the earth! Say: “The LORD has redeemed His servant Jacob!”

Leviticus 26:44

44 Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their

enemies, I will not spurn them, neither will I abhor them

so as to destroy them utterly and break my covenant with them, for I am the Lord their God.

Isaiah 49:15-16

15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.
16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me.
